About Charlotte

My mission and philosophy as it pertains to fitness does not just focus on exercise alone, I encompass the entire being.
The contemporary concept of health embraces the entire being. In order for a person to adhere to a long term life style of exercise and nutrition life style, there first must be a focus on the mental state of the person. Our physical bodies are connected to our mental and emotional states of being. In order to enhance one’s own well being, there must be a focus on the individual’s recognition of personal responsibility to their own health with proper education. When a person becomes aware that they can change their health by redirecting their thought process by recognizing mental habits, negative thinking, and low self-esteem has kept them from living with the knowledge of personal empowerment.
We know more today about achieving total physical health than we have ever have known. We now know we bear a personal responsibility to our individual health needs by actively participating in an exercise program, healthy nutrition awareness, and understanding behavior changes does promote a healthier body, healthier mind, and an overall sense of wellbeing and self-empowerment.
As a trainer and instructor I have designed many group programs. I have a strong passion for helping people to be proactive in creating a healthier life style for themselves. I do this by extending compassion, a listening ear, and yet, a strong hand. Educating people to become independent and self-empowered with their health and fitness. I have instructed classes and trained since the early 90’s. Becoming certified and continuing my education in 2003, I owned my own Fitness facility for 11 years. I developed the regionally-renowned program “Forks Biggest Loser”. With my training education and instruction education, in 3 ½ years, this program we collectively lost 4,000 pounds. This program earned me the honor of being nominated Citizen of the Year in my community 1n 2011. I have taught Physical Education Classes for Peninsula Community College for 9 years. I was training coach for the girls High School Volleyball team. And I started a program called Natures Quest. A specific outdoor training program. I have worked with a Native American Tribe in their Diabetes Program. Educating on the importance of exercise and nutrition and the prevention of Diabetes. Made equipment recommendations and promoted Health Fairs.
Moving to the Shelton area to be closer to family, I began working at Shelton Athletic club March 1st of 2014 to current.
The ultimate goal for me is to enable individuals to use knowledge in ways that transforms unhealthy habits into healthy habits.
I am committed to helping individuals become healthier and happier making lifestyle changes. The end result, recognizing attitude change, positive living, exercise, and nutrition awareness promotes the entire wellbeing of an individual. Behavior changes in health, nutrition, and exercise can also become a model of influence for their children, friends and other peers. You can expect me to be adaptive in applying my skills, abilities and experience, and resourceful in learning new knowledge and skills to meet the needs of my clients.
