This class feels like having a personal trainer without paying any extra money. It consists of a series of exercises conducted in a interval fashion. Each of these exercises is timed and utilizes mainly your own body weight. However, some of the exercises are performed with light weights or bands for resistance while maintaining maximum intensity. This is a full body workout in which the exercises are constantly changed so there is less chance of a body plateau occurring. This class includes strength training and cardio. It makes your heart rate fluctuate instead of keeping it at a steady high, ultimately giving you the weight loss and lean figure desired. If you want to challenge your body for extreme results, then this class is for you!
This class is designed for improving total body muscle tone and fitness. Class uses barbells, dumbbells, and resistance bands in a high repetition to low weight format set to music. Workout is low impact to the joints. If you want a full body toning workout this is the class for you. You will be tired at the end and your muscles may be sore the next day.

This high energy boxing inspired class is non contact and no complex moves to master. While we will work on combo's, I will sustain the moves making it easy to follow. Boxing may just be the last frontier in strength and cardio conditioning. Boxers are some of the leanest trained athletes. In this class I will implement circuits or timed intervals, combining boxing inspired combo's for cardio conditioning and utilizing dumbbells, bars, kettlebells and body weight exercises for functional strength conditioning. By design, this is a functional fitness training workout. Functional training exercises use multiple joints and numerous muscles. Functional training focuses on training movement patterns rather than isolating individual muscles. Functional training with boxing drills provides a fantastic fat burning workout by using full body exercises. Yoga fusion mixed the techniques of Vinyasa flow yoga with aspects of ballet, contemporary dance, light strength work utilizing dumbbells, weighted bars and bands, light cardio rhythmic movement together with the postures of Pilates and basic Yoga asanas for a workout that helps you unwind as you sweat--lovely. The class uses all the muscles in the body to give you an all-over, holistic workout that keeps you on your toes while relaxing the mind. You will experience final relaxation at the end of the class. After the exertions of the practice, final relaxation allows the body a dance to regroup and reset itself. Walk away stronger, leaner, and relaxed.
Pilate and Yoga style exercises to strengthen the stomach, back and shoulder muscles (core) using mat (floor) techniques, all levels of fitness welcome. Class is low impact.
Learn and practice yoga in a small class environment, gain strength, personal balance, focus, and health and stress relief. Learn modifications to build on your program. Not sure what all those Sanskrit terms are? Not to worry! In this class we perform all the basic Yoga poses in a peaceful, gentle fluid flow movement that will lead you to all the benefits Yoga has to offer without trying to decipher and wonder what all those Sanskrit terms mean. Build strength. Increase your flexibility and range of motion. At the end of class you will enjoy a peaceful “Final Relaxation” using positive affirmations and music to feed your soul, to restore and relax you and start your day.
What to bring? I encourage everyone to have your own Yoga Mat. Also, feel free to bring a small blanket to use during final relaxation. Knee issues? I have participants that use a blanket, some even use a simple garden knee protector (what we use while planting and working in the garden). It is so simple and yet gives great protection if you have problems putting your bare knee to the mat.
This is a Korean martial art. Our black belt instructor takes you through and teaches you the moves of this great mental and physical self defense art. If you choose to, you can go through training and promotion to higher belt levels. You can even train for your black belt. Note: Belt testing fees are not included with your athletic club membership.
Tai Chi Chuan is a centuries old Chinese martial art. With its emphasis on smooth and graceful movements and transitions, it is often described as meditation in motion. It can be practiced for self defense, to improve balance and maintain health, achieve states of physical and mental relaxation, and strengthen the cardiovascular and immune systems.
Classes usually begin with a few minutes of standing meditation to calm the mind and gather energy. After warm-up exercises, we focus on the basics of a particular movement or martial fundamental, and practice the Yang style 34 movement form. This is a modern Latin-based cardio dance party. The steps are simple and easy to follow. Over time you will learn to embellish the basic moves for a great cardio workout. You will not even realize you exercised because dancing is so much fun. You will learn meringue, salsa, cumbia, belly dance, flamenco, tango, reggaeton (a form of hip-hop), and samba all set to inspiring musical beats.
